Pictured above and below are photos of Puppy Tyson who was shown “as a puppy” at the White Shepherd Club of Canada National Specialty Show that was held on August 4, 5 & 6 – 2017 in Alvinston, Ontario.
Many thanks to our dear friend Marion who entered us in the show and stood by us with total support:
Tyson won all of his classes that weekend, and Technically took third place overall of the dogs in the show that weekend – 2 day show under four different judges!
Even though he was only fifteen weeks old, the awards went like this….
Best of Breed
Best of Opposite Sex
Best of Winners
Even though Tyson was a puppy, he was awarded Best Puppy National Specialty and placed ahead of the Best of Winners dog, when all the winners came back in the ring against the other winners!
The dog that was awarded Best of Winners beat around 26 other dogs – those dogs were 6 months to any age (up to ten years that I noted) and sex working towards their championships. Tyson did not qualify yet for points because of his very young age (has to be over six months and he is just shy of four months) yet he beat other ones that do qualify.
Never in my wildest dreams did I expect such a young puppy to do such a crazy amazing job! He loved it! He listened like an old pro! He was very well behaved… so much so that he scored 98 percent in the puppy obedience class against a very well trained nine month old pup. Way to go Tyson!
We could not have done so well if it weren’t for supportive friends who gave helpful tips and encouragement. Thank you all who were there to assist and root us on! It was so much fun 🙂
